Take a course or further study
Theology is the study of God. C.S. Lewis is reported to have said ‘If you do not listen to theology, that will not mean you have no ideas about God, rather it will mean you have a lot of wrong ones.’ Therefore it’s an excellent thing to want to grow in our knowledge of God and know how to accurately handle His word so that we can be a clearer and more effective witness for Him.
One way we can grow in our discipleship to Jesus is by taking a course or undertake some theological study. This increases our Biblical and theological knowledge, exposes us to different ideas and viewpoints, and helps equip us in explaining this to others. Theological study may open up more questions than answers! However, it will equip us in how to seek after those answers with clarity and purpose.
If you are interested in taking a course of further theological study, here are some suggestions that you could explore:
Bible Project Classroom
This is a free resource that allows you to study theology online at your own pace. It is taught by the Bible Project team and is an amazing resource to allow us to go deeper with the Bible.

Life Church Year Out
Whilst not exclusively a thgeological study, Life Church offers a year out programme where you can work and grow with us for a whole year. This year out includes the Mullers 1 year theology course, but also makes space for you to grow in ministry gifts and be invested in as a leader.

Mullers 1 YEAR THEOLOGY COURSE
If you are located in Bristol, UK, you could consider the Mullers Scripture, Theology and Culture Course. This is a year long course, delivered in-person in Bristol in 7 hour sessions once per week.

Missio Dei Bible College
Life Church Bristol is a part of the Assemblies of God in the UK. The AoG has a fully accredited Bible College called Missio Dei that offers undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in Theology as well as offering short courses throughout the year. Our senior pastor is part of the faculty at Missio Dei and teaches there throughout the year.
Both the undergrad and postgrad courses are accredited by Birmingham Newman university and allow you to pursue a qualification whilst deepening your theological knowledge.
